We believe homeowners can help in small, safe ways. You can look at the ceiling, check the attic with a flashlight, and walk around the yard to spot loose shingles or granules in the gutters. You can take photos from the ground.

The roof itself is different. Steep pitch, wet surfaces, snow, and ice make it risky. Professional gear and training matter there. Please do not climb up to patch it yourself.
